Spring Recitals:
The Piano Recital is presented in April and the Violin Recital in May.  The preparation for performing is the most important part.   The extra effort a student makes to be ready always shows itself on the day.  In addition to the technical and musical progress that results is the additional self esteem acquired.  At the Violin Recital solos are presented and also ensemble pieces.  Each recital is followed by a warm reception given by the parents.  All of us enjoy "the cookies"!  It's a fun time of celebration.

Solo & Ensemble Festival:
Held on the second Saturday of February at a New Hampshire College, this performance opportunity is sponsored by the NH Music Educators Association and available to piano and violin students from 5th grade though high school.  Qualified students perform for a college music professor and receive comments, a rating and certificate.  This event is highly motivational and inspiring.  A "Mock Festival " is held at the studio two or three weeks before the event - complete with 10 minute warm-ups in practice rooms, student guides, and adjudicators taking notes.

Reunions:
Every few years I hold a gathering in the summer at the studio of students who studied with me through high school graduation. Many of the students meet each other for the first time and we have a lot of fun celebrating where they are now and where they are going.
